Two ways to work on this campaign. One is for high school students. One is for college students. Both open October 1, 2026 and close November 1, 2026. Decisions go out November 7, 2026.

For high school students

Pilot council

Who can apply. Delaware high school students in grades 9 through 12, from any kind of school: public, charter, vo-tech, private, or homeschool. Five students from each county, 15 in total.

What it is. The campaign's pilot run of the council we want created by law. Members run a statewide survey of young Delawareans, hold listening sessions in their county, and help write the first findings report.

Time. About 10 hours a month from January to May 2027. Meetings are monthly and rotate among the three counties. You can join remotely.

If you are under 18, the application asks for a parent or guardian's name, email, and typed signature.

Serving on the pilot council is part of a campaign. It is not a seat on a state body, it carries no official status, and the council we want the law to create does not exist yet.

For college students

Research fellows

Who can apply. Any undergraduate or graduate student who lives in Delaware or is enrolled at a Delaware college or university. If you're from Delaware and away at school somewhere else, you qualify, and we'd like to hear from you.

What it is. Research support for one county team: survey design, data analysis, and drafting. Members decide what the report says. Fellows support the work.

Two tracks. A summer track from June through August, and a remote academic-year track with one deliverable a month.

Up to six fellows, at least one for each county team.
